The Mining Investor Toolkit (and how it can help you become a better investor)

I started posting long-form content about 18 months ago.

I was in for a shocking ride. Today, we have over 30K followers across platforms (from ~5K).

I never expected you’d enjoy these posts so much (and I’d keep wanting to write, to be honest)! A few months in, I decided to also publish them on this blog so they could be accessible in the future. And you kept reading!

After getting dozens of requests for a way to read these posts offline, we decided to compile the best pieces as PDFs, expanding them, creating better versions of the charts used and adding a whole bunch of sources for those wanting to dive even deeper. The Mining Investor Toolkit was born (as someone into marketing and branding, I like how the name just clicks).

And again, you loved it! Every week more investors seeking to increase their confidence when investing in mining or just deepen their understanding of these topics, get a copy.

I’ve lost count of how many are now out in the world, and the wonderful messages and suggestions. By the way, you can get yours here.

But that’s not all!

The next iteration of the toolkit is now here. I realised certain tools and resources didn’t translate as well to PDF so the best solution was to create a subscriber-only section within the blog, where you could find both tools and content and access at your convenience, 24/7. And it’s live! Happy to say subscribers are already using it.

We’ve structured these materials as a mini-course, in 3 main sections.

Content structure

In addition, while the PDF version gets about 2 or 3 updates per year, the online version is always being expanded. Every single month, new pieces plus exclusive tools that we have adapted and keep constantly developing, from our own process as investors, are published just for you. And there is more on its way.

Now…

How to use the Mining Investor Toolkit to become a better investor? Here’s my suggestion:

  • First, go through posts in the suggested order. Study, take notes, and if possible get the additional recommended resources (books, podcasts, etc). Take as long as you need to absorb the material.
  • Try out all tools and suggested processes to see if you could potentially include them in your own research
  • Bookmark those you liked, to come back when needed
  • Ask any due diligence questions or suggestions as a comment to any exclusive posts (we review them over time and use for future topics)
  • Finally, use the newsletter to expand on each topic. While the newsletter is free, most issues will take a topic from the toolkit to expand on, cite a case study or simply reflect on an idea or concept. You’ll get a lot more from each issue!

I was lucky to learn geology and exploration from my father, a copper porphyry expert, and now I get to pay it forward to you.

We’ve kept the toolkit inexpensive so that more people can benefit. Would love to hear your impressions once you’ve used it.

And that’s it for today!
